Brighton is home, inside the radius we work in most weeks. That means quick turnaround on a quote visit, and it means a crew can come back the next day for a small item without the drive swallowing the job.
Brighton is a city of roughly 40,083, and Brighton straddles Adams and Weld counties. Brighton sits on the South Platte River at the north-east edge of the Denver metro, at about 4,990 feet. There is open ground on most sides and very little natural shade or windbreak: lawns dry out from the edges in, irrigation coverage matters more than irrigation volume, and a patio or driveway takes sun and wind from every direction.
Below is what Brighton's own offices and water provider publish about permits, watering and backflow testing for the kind of work we do, checked October 13, 2026, with a link to each source.
City of Brighton Community Development – Building Division (One Stop permit counter). Permits and contractor licenses are applied for through the City's OpenGov portal; the One Stop counter (1stop@brightonco.gov, 303-655-2017) also handles right-of-way and utility permits.

Concrete work in the street right-of-way (such as curb, gutter, sidewalk or a driveway approach) needs a Right-of-Way permit through the One Stop permit counter before work starts, and the contractor must hold a City of Brighton contractor's license. The permit requires a traffic control plan, a site plan and a bond (at least $5,000 for repair/replace work, or 115% of job value above $4,348), and the contractor must give 24 hours' notice for inspection before concrete is placed.

Brighton's 'Do I Need a Building Permit?' handout (2021 IRC) says retaining walls not over 4 feet tall, measured from the bottom of the footing to the top of the wall, do not need a building permit. Taller walls are not on the exempt list.

Watering rules change with drought stages and seasons. These are the rules the water provider published as of October 13, 2026; check the linked page before you seed, sod or change a sprinkler schedule.
Stage 1 drought restrictions (approved April 7, 2026, extended through Nov. 15, 2026) limit irrigation to two days a week: even addresses Tuesday and Friday, odd addresses Wednesday and Saturday, and unassigned HOA/landscape tracts Monday and Friday. Irrigation is banned 10 a.m.–6 p.m., water may not pool in gutters or streets, and hand watering with a hose held in the hand or a watering can is allowed.

Through Sept. 30, 2026, installing or replacing sod on areas over 200 sq ft was banned; starting Oct. 1, 2026, the City issues free sod permits (apply through OpenGov). Permit schedule: up to 3 waterings a day in weeks 1–2, twice a day in weeks 3–4 and once a day in weeks 5–6, with no watering 10 a.m.–6 p.m. after week 2, each watering 10 minutes or less, and normal restrictions after six weeks.

Residential irrigation systems must be protected from backflow, either isolated from household plumbing or with a containment assembly if on a separate service line, and containment assemblies must be tested annually with reports sent to the City. Testers must send passing reports to Brighton Utilities (backflow@brightonco.gov) within 10 business days and report failed tests within 24 hours.

Concrete driveways, walkways, patios and repairs (concrete), new lawns and lawn repairs (sod installation), sprinkler repair and winterization (sprinkler repair), plus xeriscape and retaining walls, kitchen, bath and basement remodeling, flooring and interior painting. A job that spans more than one of those is still one crew and one point of contact.
Yes. Brighton is our home base, well inside the area we work in most weeks. Brighton straddles Adams and Weld counties, and the permit question for your specific job gets answered before work starts, not after.
At about 4,990 feet, the Front Range gives a reasonably long season for concrete and landscape work, though the shoulder months swing hard. Interior work - remodeling, flooring, painting - runs year round, and winter is usually the easiest time to get it scheduled.
We work throughout these neighbouring communities as well: Lochbuie (2.5 mi), Commerce City (7.1 mi), Fort Lupton (8.3 mi). The full list is on our service area page.
