The Engineering Division requires a Right of Way Permit before any work on or within Town property, right-of-way or easements, including street cuts, road closures, traffic control and installing utilities or improvements. The permit costs $200 plus fees and surety depending on the activity, and contractors must hold a Town of Firestone contractor license.

Watering rules change with drought stages and seasons. These are the rules the water provider published as of October 13, 2026; check the linked page before you seed, sod or change a sprinkler schedule.
Town of Firestone. The Town does not run its own treatment plant; it buys treated water from Central Weld County Water District and the St. Vrain Water Authority. Barefoot Lakes is served by Little Thompson Water District instead of the Town.
